Sakura Sky’s legal notice covering use of the site, intellectual property, no-advice disclaimer, and limitation of liability.
Last reviewed: 2 June 2026.
1. About this notice
This Legal Notice governs your use of https://www.sakurasky.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you accept this Notice and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept, please do not use the Site.
The Site is operated by Sakura Sky, which has legal entities established in the United States and the Netherlands.
2. Information, not advice
Everything we publish on the Site - including blog posts, white papers, case studies, research, conference talks, and any other written, audio, visual, or downloadable content (collectively, the “Content”) - is general information for an engineering and executive audience. It is not advice, and we do not intend it to be relied on as advice.
In particular, Content on the Site is not:
- Legal advice. Where we discuss regulation - the EU AI Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act, sectoral regimes such as DORA or HIPAA, or any national implementing measure - we do so as engineers and architects, not as lawyers. We are not a law firm. Nothing on the Site creates a lawyer-client relationship.
- Financial advice. Where we reference budgets, capital allocation, or board-level decisions, we are describing technology economics, not securities, investment, accounting, or tax advice.
- Cybersecurity certification or assurance. Where we describe security architectures, threat models, or control frameworks (AISVS, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, SOC 2, etc.), we are describing engineering approaches we have seen work. We are not a certification body and we do not issue compliance attestations through the Site.
- A substitute for due diligence in your specific environment. The same architectural pattern, regulation, or framework may apply differently to your products, your data, your jurisdiction, and your customers.
You should obtain advice from qualified counsel, regulated financial advisors, certified auditors, or other relevant professionals before acting on anything you read here.
3. No warranty
The Content is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Content is accurate, complete, current, fit for any particular purpose, non-infringing, or free from errors, viruses, or interruptions.
References to external regulation, standards, vendors, products, and frameworks are accurate to the best of our understanding at the date of publication, but regulators and authors update their texts. Always check the primary source.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sakura Sky and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your access to, or use of, the Site or its Content - including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, business, goodwill, or other intangible losses. This applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.
Nothing in this Notice excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law applicable to you - including, where it applies, statutory consumer rights and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
5. Intellectual property
Unless we state otherwise, the Content is © Sakura Sky. The Sakura Sky name and logo are our trademarks.
Third-party trademarks (including but not limited to Google, AWS, Microsoft, OWASP, Apache, Cloudflare, Anthropic, OpenAI) belong to their respective owners. Reference to a third-party product or service does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, that party.
Some Content is published under an open license - for example, the GATE (Governed Agent Trust Environment) framework is published under CC BY 4.0 at deterministicagents.ai. Where a specific licence applies, it is stated on the relevant page.
You are welcome to link to public pages on this Site, to quote short excerpts with attribution, and to reproduce material to the extent permitted by applicable fair use / fair dealing / quotation exceptions. Wholesale republication requires our prior written consent.
6. Third-party links and content
The Site links to third-party websites for reference. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
7. Forward-looking statements
Some Content makes forward-looking statements about regulation timelines, technology adoption, market behaviour, or the trajectory of our own products and services. These are based on our view at the time of writing and are subject to change. We do not undertake to update Content unless specifically indicated.
8. Disclosures of interest
Where the author of a piece of Content has a personal or professional interest relevant to the topic (for example, lifetime membership of an industry body, authorship of a referenced framework, or a financial relationship with a vendor mentioned), we endeavour to state it inline at the bottom of the piece. The presence of a disclosure is not an admission of bias - it is information you should weigh when reading.
9. Governing law and venue
This Legal Notice and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the relevant jurisdiction of the Sakura Sky entity you contract with, or - for visitors with no contractual relationship to us - by the laws applicable to the entity from whose infrastructure the Site is served. The European entity (Netherlands) governs interactions originating in the EEA, UK, and other regions where Dutch law is the appropriate connecting factor. The US entity governs interactions originating in the Americas. Nothing in this clause overrides mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
